How was your Christmas? The kids love your gifts? What about you? Love getting what you’ve been given?
Be thankful for we all can celebrate Christmas, the season of love. But really, everyday, we need love to carry on and without love, we won’t be here right now.
Right now, I’m a bit way too old for this:
That man behind the counter suppose to be me, but my boys chose that avatar / profile. But at least I get to have my nick, hahah..
So now I NEED TO bake lots of goodies for my customer who gave me love and money, friends who gave me tips.
If you don’t see me around here, you know where I go. Happy new year in advance to all of you.
Some people are just so good in putting their thoughts down to words, words that can really express what they feel, what they think and what they hope to achieve.
I am not. At least I don’t think so.
I’m not one that have good vocabulary. I don’t master any language. Not English, not Chinese or Malay. I can be using all three languages when I speak. Even when I think, I could be in any of these languages, even the Hakka dialect.
I admire those who can master their languages. Who can really put down in words on what they hope to bring.
This Christmas I wish for better language skills, better communication skills and a strong believe in what is good, in what bring wealth and happiness.
Please oh please.. why do I still need to work?
What more we need to sign our option form to tap into the new paid system of the government, bummer, and we had to do it by end of this year.
I’m really not in the mood for working.
But.. hehee.. I’m going to take leave, yippie!!!! Will be taking one whole week to do nothing, ha! I like!!
I’m even thinking to get myself some pressie.. hehehe.. have been thinking too much for the kids, now is mummy time.
Hmm.. let’s see.. what shall I get? Make-up? Clothes? Shoes? Or just a movie ticket for me, myself and I?
My boys are facinated by trucks, goods container, fork lift and any big machine. They’ll get all excited when seeing one container that has lift in itself. They’ll notice cement trucks if we passed by one on the road. Then they’ll start asking lots of questions concerning that machine. Sometimes I get so frustrated in answering all their questions. But have to keep on answering them ‘cos I don’t want to put them down.
Of course when comes to books, they’ll love to read about trucks, planes and any big machine.
I used to buy trucks and cars for them as toys. And of course they love train too, like Thomas And Friends. Now that they are bigger, they no longer get all excited about seeing those big machines, except those rare ones like the tar machine that fills up the road with tar.
I’ve never bought them boat though. I wonder if they’ll like it.
When we were over at Sutera Harbor Marina, they were facinated by those beautiful boats. Of course they love to get on board of Logos Hope. Still, for this year round, I haven’t bring them on board of Logos yet.
I wonder what will they say when they saw the dinghy lift on certain boat. Which by the way is also call boat davits. Davits are actually make loading cargo easier. If you want to know more about davits, check out davits and pontoon boats in Yahoo.
I know they adore Transformers and Lego which by the way are originated from USA. It has certain assurance in buying US made products of course. But it also means higher cost. That’s why I was so happy to see Lego sold in Singapore in a relatively lower price!
Of course getting things from the States means brands, means better quality, but where can we get such luxury to enjoy that?
I’ll just stick to whatever that is offering in the market as for toys.
Okay, I haven’t been to Florida. But the Internet is really helpful. Just Google about Florida, you’ll get to know everything about it, from its climate, location, people, and even real estate.
It has subtropical and tropical climate, plus it has the longest coastline in the States. It is famous for its oranges production.
Subtropical and tropical climate means it won’t get too cold in Florida and you get to enjoy the sea with its longest coastline! Now, it sounds like a good place for me to stay other than the thread of hurricane. Just take a look at Map of Florida, you’ll see a narrow state with its long coastline.
I also like the design of homes in Stuart Florida. I also love those house plans shown online, just look at this one:

Isn’t it a nice little cottage? It has basement and 1st floor which has rooms for future extension. It also looks like a cool and airy house to live in. Most probably there are some already available in the market through Kolter Homes.
Okay, I’m starting to imagine myself staying there and going to the beach every weekend (at least). Probably taking up surfing lessons too. But let me learn how to swim properly first, ha!
Now, let’s see how I can go about it? Selling everything I have over here? Quit my job? Get a job in Florida? Hmm.. that means I need to be qualify for whatever that is available over in Florida. Are they looking for a professional librarian who knows Chinese?
Wait, what about my family? What about my two boys? And getting house there is such a major investment. What more it is in US dollars, which is triple of what we have here (Malaysia). If I really need to do that, I’ll really need to get a high pay job. Let’s just remain here on what I’ve been enjoying first.
This is the look in our house for Christmas celebration. Very simple but at least there are some decoration.
Our Christmas treeThe tree was all decorated by Calvin. He was the one got all excited about Christmas and hoping to open up those presents early. So he’s empty the space at one corner than started to pull out the Christmas tree from our store. Well, thanks to him, we had our Christmas tree up even before December.
As for the entrance table, this is how it looks like now. Some alien stuff there…
See those helicopters? Ya.. Calvin’s work too.
I wonder how other people’s home look like now for Christmas. I always admire those who really put their heart in and decorated their house in a very Christmas mood. Hmm.. anyone want to do a swap? I mean like a home exchange kind of thing.
Home exchange is actually a great way to make affordable travel plans. You get to travel to places in the States where Christian family open up their homes for other Christian who wanted a break.
Maybe I could also have a “Deck the hall” swap, what say you? But err.. anyone want to exchange with me?
For all those while that our phone doesn’t work, for all those complaint that we did to TM (Telekom Malaysia), for all those headache that we faced, for all those checking and confirming the line outside our house has no problem… we’ve found the culprit and solution for it.
We have got our phone line re-wired. Hubby had to pulled a new line for the whole house, reconnect it. He has to endure the heat for while doing the re-wiring, our current went off.
So, after all the hard and hot work, we finally got a working phone with ring tone and can receive phone calls. Thanks to the handyman.
I bet there are more things to mend in the future for this house. One that I can forsee is our kitchen sink. Though we are using sink from those stainless steel undermount sinks, but the pipe underneath is just plain PVC. So now that every time I pour hot water into the sink, I have to have the tap one with water running, else I might just harden the pipe underneath.
Anyway, when the problem arises, the handyman will go to work again.
The sign is not up yet, there are still some cleaning to do and probably some checking on their hardware before they can launch this Petrosains station which is in the State Library HQ in Luyang.
Look promising and with lots of exploration to do though just occupy part of the level 2.
Surely they are lots of small science experiments that the kids can try out, probably you can also find out how heated mattress pad works!
Another place for the kids to have fun.
