I love travelling. I love shopping. I also love going to foreign places. But all these in conditions that I’m travelling with good adventurous company, my wallet is filled up, and that foreign place is clean and cool. Well, none of these won’t be able to go on if I can’t pack, right?

If I can’t pack, it means I can’t travel light. It means I won’t have enough space for my shopping spree. It means I won’t be in my right attire.

So I guess packing is really a crucial part of travelling other than the usual planning, right?

So.. what I want to say is

.

.

.

.

I want a sturdy, colorful and functional luggage!

Not just simply any kind of luggage. It has to be sturdy, good zip preferably with it own lock. Of course striking color so I can spot it easily on the luggage claiming conveying belt.

I would also love to have a hand carry bag that I can put my hand carry stuff like hand lotion, emergency clothing (just in case I can’t claim my luggage), passport, wallet, sun-glasses, etc.

I fancy a functional bag and won’t mind getting a leather briefcase if it is meant for hand carry

So? Any good place to shop?

If you are interested on how to pack, or curious about how other people is packing, try watching a video by Kristina Werner. I love her bright yellow hard side luggage! She got hers at ebags dot com.

It is so nice to be able to have a shower during mid-day today. Normal Monday will be in the office. Today is a holiday here in Malaysia, so glad to be able to enjoy another day at home.

I’m so glad that I’ve managed to buy some Gravox cheese sauce home from Singapore. Not sure if I can find them here, I hope I can, else would really regret not to get more. We all love it. Especially the boys. I’ve used it to cook our spaghetti and it turns out so yummy. Mervin who normally prefer tomato sauce, but this time he got no complain and finished off his whole plate of spaghetti.

I’ve also bough other variety of sauce like the Roast Pork Gravy, Parsley White and Supreme Chicken.

I guess with all these sauce, I could be a good chef for my boys, and hopefully they’ll eat more.

It was so good to be able to shop in Singapore. Even the Lego over there is cheaper than those in West Malaysia! So guess what I’ve got for my boys’ Christmas presents?

Even the Capsule boys also cheaper. It is only S$2 per capsule and yet over here in 1B, it is RM10 per capsule. That is more than half of the price over in Singapore.

I don’t understand why it should have such a difference? Yet our salary is way lower than them!?

Anyway, if I’m going back there again, I’ll know what to buy for sure.

3rd Day where we’ve already gone up to KL on our 2nd night during the trip. Took an evening flight up to KL.

On the way to the air-port, hubby lost his wallet and he must have drop it in the taxi after paying. Truth enough it was there and he’s got the help from the air-port security in calling up the taxi through the call center. Fortunately hubby kept the receipt from the taxi driver.

So, the taxi driver found the wallet just beside the front passenger seat. It was a bit nerve cracking as he’s some of his money in that wallet. But somehow I was very calm and have a feeling that the taxi driver will surely come back due to the wallet. And true enough, hubby got his wallet back and paid the taxi driver for the extra journey that he has to make.

That was when I tried to check us all in, but no proxy check-in, so I had to get the boys to the check-in counter while hubby was waiting for the taxi to return.

Anyway, we safely arrived KL and stayed in Corus Hotel which is near to KLCC. The 3rd day is an educational day for us all. ‘cos we managed to get into the Aquaria nearby.

Petronas Twin Tower view from Corus Hotel swimming pool

Yup, jellyfishes having the meal of tiny shrimps!

It was truly an educational trip for the boys, with lots and lots of questions asked along the way and finally they saw the Twin Tower. Calvin kept on saying it is in his textbook! Yayaya.. I know…

We have actually checked-out from Corus Hotel the next day and move to Cititel in Mid-Valley Megamall. The evening was filled up with Taiwanese dinner, shopping and bit of Baskin Robin for myself (yay!!).

The next day was more eating – Ninja Pork Chop burger!!! First time had that burger and am loving it. Definitely going to have it again.

Then it was bye-bye time.

This was from Cititel where we stayed on the 2nd night in KL.

Am still hoping I’ve more time to shop!!

Like the look of the room above?

Yep, photo taken during my recent visit to our capital city – Kuala Lumpur, which has the stain glass that I love and it was one trip that I missed my scrapbook so much!

Anyway, I love their big bathroom with dedicated space for shower, bathtub, toilet with another door and two sinks! It is big to me, not huge, but big enough to fit two persons comfortably at the same time! Have a look of the inside:

Two sinks with a toilet by itself

This is a reflection from the long mirror in the bathroom:

Nice?

The feel of it is like staying in an old vintage cottage due to its simply design and all white or cream color scheme. Probably what a farm house bathroom would look like too. Where they also provide horse riding, maybe? Or even selling horse equipment? I’ll never know unless I go for a horse riding vacation somewhere in the West.

Anyway, enough of being bubbling away.. I would really love to go back to Hotel Istana again, since they also offering buffet breakfast with the room!

Glad I was able to stayed there.

One day, while we were all on our way home,

Son no. 1: ”Mommy, China and Hong Kong is good oh, right?”

Me: “Why”

Son no. 1: “Am not sure, but I still think China and Hong Kong is better than here.”

Son no. 2: “Ya.. I miss going to China and Hong Kong.”

Clearly they just miss the traveling and seeing new things. We haven’t been doing that since early last year, ‘cos hubby is back working here locally. So the boys continue with their conversation about how they love to be on the plane looking at the sea, having food on board etc.

The truth is not even the boys miss it, I myself miss the traveling part. Though not much of shopping get done during that time, but still it was a good excuse to get away from work and be with the boys elsewhere rather than just at home.

It would be nice if we all can go to other places. Places like the States, Canada, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Egypt… the list goes on.

Gosh! There are so many places that we haven’t been to. Though we do have the sea, jungle and city in one place, but weather wise, it is totally different in the other countries which I would really like to experience. Even going for jungle tracking in Central America would be a totally new experience for all of us. The beautiful Costa Rican vacation is offering this sort of service for individual and families. It would be great if we can get the family package and just go for it.

I am dreaming of a picnic lunch at the beach. Not saying that we can’t do it here, but it would be way hotter over here, isn’t it?

A look at their website filled with beautiful photos would really make ones want to save up quickly and have an escape there.

Let me start by browsing more of those beautiful pictures and start dreaming, hopefully the Costa Rica discounts would help.

“The boys had been missing you. Calvin even cried once you step out from the car into the air-port! They both woke up middle of the night to look for you.” Hubby told me this over the phone when I was over in Kuching, Sarawak for two nights stay to attend meetings.

I manage to talk to them over the phone, Calvin kept on telling me this: “Mommy come back earlier ya…”

As for Mervin, he just go on asking me lots and lots of questions about Detective Conan *LOL*.

Yup, they were definitely happy to see their mommy in the air-port yesterday evening and I did miss them but I took this “get-away” opportunity to try and relax, had a face mask on and watch the limited channel available in the TV.

Somerset Gateway Hotel is not such a posh place (it might look so in their website), it is a service apartment, probably best for family vacation, but to me it is over charge and inconvenient, ‘cos the lobby is in level 4. Its continental breakfast is not complete, ‘cos I can’t find sausage to go with my scrabble eggs and bake beans. They only have one set of salt and pepper available in the food table instead of having salt and pepper on each table. I so regretted not to book my room earlier in other hotels such as Riverside Majestic, Hilton or Grand Margherita (Previously Holiday Inn).

Though most of the hotels are in close distance, but Riverside has a shopping complex on it ground level and it’s is full, I mean complete with chef cooking for you!

Well, I’m sure if I’m going to Kuching again, I will choose the 3 hotels that mentioned instead of the service apartment though their staff are friendly.

These were taken from my window:

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m one that can change the car tire if I can loosen up those tires nuts. Of course I’m not qualify as a mechanic, but I do know a few terms that won’t let me get cheated. I’m very fortunate that I can drive to anywhere that I like just as long as my car is functioning well. I do have a colleague that can’t drive and he is riding a motorbike for that purpose. How nice is that he can drive a car instead of a motorbike which would be troublesome during rainy season and he has to get under the sun all the time.

I admire those who are disable and yet they can still drive. I’ve ever met such an energetic person during my tour in Australia. He rented a special car that made for disable people who are using the wheelchair. There is one that provide such a service in the States -NMEDA which stand for The National Mobility Equiment Dealers Association.

NMEDA offers wheelchairs van and access mobility equipment. It allows the wheelchair bound disable to drive by themselves. NMEDA is a non-profit trade association that educate consumers on buying products from a qualified dealer, meaning one that can be trusted. It doesn’t sell anything but just promoting safe driving and equipment for the disabled people.Their dealers are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.

I know of another ex-colleague who doesn’t even drive a motorbike but get the help of his family member to drive him around. But every time that he needed to get on the car, he has to be carried on to the MPV. But with NMEDA approved dealers equipment, I think he would be getting in and out of the car easily without assistant. What more NMEDA can help him in getting the right dealer to customized what he need! Isn’t that great!?

NMEDA can also help the elderly to get on the road again and gain those self-confidence that they’ve lost over time. I mean who won’t want that? I would! I would love to drive till the day I rested.

If you are in the States, you are much fortunately than anyone of us over in Malaysia, for one you can enjoy such service and do check out if there is a dealer near where you stay now.

Been looking for sugar since Friday, have tried several places and still can’t get my sugar this morning!

First I tried was Lintas Supermarket. They don’t even display it and you’ll have to ask for it at the check-out counter. No brown sugar nor white sugar. All sold out!

Then I tried in a small sundry shoppe, still run out of stock, then this morning, I’ve tried another sundry shoppe, same case. Maybe I should have gone to Seven Eleven, but I bet they’re running out of sugar too. Now I’m thinking if I should have a bottle of honey in my office instead. Red tea taste so awful without sugar, maybe honey would do the job. Honey is even better isn’t it?

I was trying to have a cup of honey lemon this morning, have pour some hot water over those lemon slices and that’s it! I ended up leaving it in the fridge! Because I just don’t have time to pour cold water in with the honey and drink it. Goodness!

Another possible thing that I could do is to get a pack of sugar from my mom, who accidentally Que up to buy one whole carton months ago *LOL*.

On the other hand, if any of you are looking for a magical escape to Disney World in Orlando, try to book into those orlando condos and please let me know how did it go, okay honey?
