Still not until I step into it than I know exactly where it is. It is in ground floor of Suria KK near to the sea, where if you are sitting outside, you’ll get a nice view of the sea.

I was there due to official function for the opening of Library @ Suria. So by chance hubby was to meet up with me for lunch then.

When I was being asked where to have our lunch, I straight think of the ever famous place in my heart that I wanted to go long ago – Sushi Tei of course!

So, with much anticipation and a bit of a high expectation, we walked all the way down to ground floor (hubby leading the way).

First impression – hmm.. why so gloomy…

The next is, well.. not many people during lunch hour. It was around 12:30pm at that time and yet still plenty of seats are empty and I didn’t even need to wait for a seat, our lucky day I guess.

Like usual, I chose a place that is near to the where I can see what the chefs were. Spot check on them I suppose, ha! And of course not sitting outside at the open area as I wanted to enjoy the air-con and to avoid chock dead by smoker’s second smoke.

Checked out their menu right after we’ve ordered our hot green tea.

Guess what? No set-lunch! Means no Bento! Which is normally what I would go for ‘cos it normally come with soup, side dish and the main course. But no set lunch in Sushi Tei! I love to have the soup to go with my rice!

Oh well.. let’s see what else they have.

Go through their offer menu which doesn’t look like anything on offer, everything still above RM20.

Okay, if I go to Wojamama, I can get set lunch in less than RM20, isn’t it? What makes Sushi Tei more expensive?

Anyway, we have a look on the conveying belt. Everything look normal. I mean the usual kind of sushi. But a close look, err… the seaweed (those wrap around the sushi) doesn’t look that fresh. Nevermind, we’ve ordered some salmon sushi.

Hubby ordered fried noodle and I’ve ordered tempura on rice.

I don’t quite like the fried noodle, maybe due to its fishy taste. But I love my tempura on rice. What I did was to dig out all those tempura onto another smaller plate and started enjoying my lunch.

But.. ya.. but when the salmon sushi came, the rice tasted too soagy. I don’t like it.

Green tea is free flow, which is good.

By the time we finished our food, we were full and of course didn’t order anything extra. But there is this plate of things on the side of the table where they keep the chopstick. It looks like ginger.

So out of curiousity, I’ve tried out some.

Guess what it taste like!? Tasted weird and it smell like this:

Well? Will I go back there again?

Yes, but will definitely not eating the ginger again and not ordering their fried noodle.

The display itself is already very seducing with its many appealingly colored cupcake frosting. It really made me feel like I’m in a real Bakery Story store! Ya, too much Bakery Story for me.

Ya.. I know.. the first thing that I thought of it was how expensive one cupcake could cost (RM5 per piece!), next thing was I would have to have several in order to get full, since it was lunch hour.

So, I was surprised to find that their menu contain lots of other choices of main course dishes and other mouth watering dessert! Great!

They have a wide range of tea too! But err.. I still prefer to have my coffee.

So, what have we ordered?

I definitely think that my son will love the Hot Chicken Pie!

Oh.. and do I still think it is expensive? Well… if for indulgence once a while it should be okay.. definitely not an everyday kind of lunch preference.

As for the Hot Chicken Pie, it is worth trying and most probably I’ll order it back on my next visit.

Still, it was gorgeous! Don’t they look like those beads all strung together?

If this make you think of beads for jewelry making, go dig right in and make yourself some nice necklace or earrings, what else could I say. I’ve also bought some earrings for myself *wink*. Early Christmas presents for myself.

Those Christmas feelings all comes back when I was there walking on Orchard Road. Would love to stay longer and walk on that street again, but.. well.. life goes on.

It is one fulfilling lunch for us three. We also have another side order – mushroom soup.

One set back is the pork belly’s skin, it is neither crunchy or easy chewable. No matter what, I still love it. I’ve also tried on the lamb, it is tender and filled with natural juice from the lamb itself.

Would I go back there again? DEFINITELY!!

Chub’s grill is located in Karamunsing Capital near the entrance. Look out for it. If you like pork and grill, you’ll love it. Just like if you love psp games, you’ll know the story behind Angry Bird.

But, let’s get real here. With the kind of weather that we have, we will definitely get ulcer the next day after those grilled food. Or worst, rain might just pour down and spoil everything on the grill. And even spoil the electric grill!

I think I better stick with a small BBQ stove that can be moved any time without hassle, and only do that maybe once a year, ha!

No offence Rob Rainford. I still love your show and love how you mix those ingredients together. I suppose I can use bit of the tips for my stir fry.

It is actually situated on 1st floor and it is a nice place to hang out. What more there are free flow of tea or coffee, either hot or cold!

The waitress is friendly in normal dress code, not sexy nurse outfit and the food is delicious. While I was having the pasta that I’ve ordered, I kept on guessing what kind of herbs that they used. Of course with the intention in making it my own.
The place is filled with fun decoration of flout, tiny polaroid look photos, pictures of those places the sailor has gone to. And I presume the owner is the sailor who has even been to the artic.

Ask if I would go back there again?? Definitely! Next time I want to try out the chocolate cake.

Yup, was in Mid-Valley megamall yesterday and hubby brought us all to have the one and only pork burger available there (I think). Cos it is so hard to get any pork around town in these days. What more in KL and in a megamall. Stalls here are having more halal food than it used to be. Even the normal Palace Garden in Corus Hotel which used to serve pork also gave it up in hoping to get more business from the non-pork eaters.

Well, these are not the best photos that I’ve got and don’t believe how it look ‘cos this were taken using my Nokia low resolution camera. It taste way better than it looks here!

At first, my little boy was protesting saying that he doesn’t eat burger, he doesn’t like burger! Nevertheless, we still pursuit him to try and being an adventurous one, he did and well, he finished up half the burger that we’ve given him! Ha! Not a chicken at all!

If I may be the award giver for the best pork burger, maybe I’ll give this  Ninja shop an engravable plaques with the title – “Best Pork Burger in Town!”

Will I go there again? DEFINITELY!!!

And probably that’s why they love to have pizza out in the restaurant rather than having food that I’ve prepared. Sad huh?

Well.. at least now that I’ve found a place to look for recipe that work, and there are so many suggestions!

It is even being categorize alphabetically!! From Appetizers to Wolfgang Puck (have yet to find out what is this)!! They have lunch and soups in between the list. Great!

Now.. I need to know where to get those produce that is being mentioned in the recipe. Hopefully my local farmers grow whatever that is being mentioned there, especially those fresh herbs, but I doubt it. I think I’ll still need to compromise certain ingredients that are being mentioned.

Well, at least I’ve a start, rather than always watching  TLC.

Another great thing is that I can find lots of baking recipe in Recipe4Living. I love that!

There is this category for Desserts and it has 307 pages!! Gosh! If I would try them all out, it would take me a year time to finish them off. That is if I bake every week!

Wait, there are recipe for Casseroles too. I must find something that got cheese topping on. My boys love cheese!

Today is a holiday here over in Malaysia. It is Wesak Day for the Buddhist.

Yippie for me caused I get to relax, but still woke up early ‘cos the little one wanted his milk. And I started thinking about cookies..

Caused the chocolate chips cookies that I’ve made the other day is already 90% gone! Maybe I should make some more, it is great as gift and I’m glad to know that at least some like my cookies, hehe.. Of course as gift wise, my cookies can’t compare to what I saw in berries.com.

Those in berries.com look so yummy and they look so fun too. I would go for it if I can get it here in the shop!

Let me see if I’ve got enough chocolate chips in the freeze for my cookies first.

I have gone back to New York New York Deli in 1Borneo the day after we had our lunch there, just so I can bring the boys again for pizza and fries, ‘cos their pizza and fries with sour cream and cheese just look so nice and sounds yummy.

They are in fact yummy for us. My boys finished off their lunch without making too much fuss and love the cheesy pizza. The funny thing was, they were given pouring out some more cheese from the cheese container and just lick it from their plates! Even the waitress look amazed by them!

First thing they did was to cut open the tissue paper, see those crumbs of tissue in the photo? When I ask what were they doing, they said they were making cloths! What were they thinking!?

Anyway, I’m glad that at least they finished off their lunch though not so healthy one, but hey, I don’t give them pizza and fries everyday! However, I’m sure to go back there again, ‘cos there are so many things in the menu that I wanted to try! Even if they are having energy booster like no shotgun, I’ll try it. But well, not really the apple juice, ‘cos it is just apply flavor drink with a red cherry. I prefer fresh juice.

Another thing that I wanted to try is their humongous burger!! Probably can share with 3 others!

Glad I insisted to have lunch there on the first place.
