I’ve just been to Manila for a 4 nights 5 days trip, but in fact it is just a 4 nights 3 days trip, ‘cos the first day was travelling and we only arrived mid-night. It can’t be considered as a day, right? Another day was to travel back as early as 4am to check out from the hotel.
Well, I better record down my thoughts and experience while memory is fresh.
I’ve quite an experience over in Manila. It was my first trip there. Thanks to Matta fair and Star Cruise with Resort World offer that we (10 of us) managed to get a deal at RM1238 per person, twin sharing for the trip which include air-fairs and hotel. We used Brunei airlines, so we had to transit in Brunei on both going and coming back trip. That answer the long hour of traveling to and fro.
We stayed in Remington Hotel, which is just next door to Resort World, Manila where the casino is. In order for us to use their free shuttle to major shopping malls and destinations, we had to be Resort World Manila member. Membership is free, we just need to show a valid photo ID and had our photo taken right on site, so all our cards had our photo imprinted. The card came with a free spin and lucky bingo. I only managed to tried on the spin which I suppose to get a free gift (key chain) but they were out of stock, oh never mind.. no big deal. Most importantly is to get the free ride.
One draw back about the free ride is that, certain places have more frequent shuttle bus (every half an hour), others are limited, say like once in 2 or 3 hours. The seat is limited to 10 people, no more no less. However they can took off early if number of people already reach 10 or they’ll wait till the designated time if it is less than 10 people. It is on a first come first serve basis.
This was taken at the front of the hotel:
This is how our room look like. Studio with a queen bed, with huge mirror on the left of the photo:
First thing after checked-in was to grab some food. We went out to the nearby Casino.
Had a bit of walk around in the Manila Resort World Casino, there were shops in there, most branded goods. It has a theater and cinema as well! Theater visit was also in our mind.
We were not allow to take any photo inside the casino. So here is one that I’ve taken outside the shopping area:
After that was to the food court area.
Photo for evidence: see where the finger is pointing!? Yupe that’s what we wanted to have – pork pizza! With the famous Pork Adobo!!
This is how it looks like:
It was super delicious! Love every bite of it. The pizza bread is just nice. I love the source and bit of cheese on top of it. Definitely a must try.
We wanted so much to bring it back home on our last day stay, but after much thought, we gave up the idea worried that we might not get through emigration and probably it would turn bad by the time we reach home. So no pork pizza for my kids.
That’s was about it for the first day in Manila, well, actually the first few hours there, ‘cos after that was to have a good sleep to prepare for our shopping the next day. Will continue in another post.
