Today mark the official opening of a new library at Suria Sabah. It is actually a new location with whatever collections (except reference) that the library had before over at the previous location near to the high court.

Its floor space is way smaller than the KK City Library but with a new laminated flooring, shelves and look, it feels a bit hip to be in there with its nicely decorated interior and low colorful shelves. Children corners stand a huge potential for story telling and activities in the future. I would consider it to be the new place to be around town, especially for books lovers who would also want to shop or watch movie at the same time. Surely they can drop by to borrow a book or two from the library.

The collections are limited to magazines, newspapers, fiction and non-fiction titles for all 3 languages (Malay, English and Chinese), with internet ready desktop for users. Soon even wi-fi for all registered members.

Opening time is 10am till 9pm daily, including weekends! Great huh!? So drop by during opening times and grab yourself some reading materials.

  1. I am impressed with how modern looking this library looks. There is a library in downtown Santa Monica that allows you to eat lunch inside the library courtyard. It is really cute and it has a cafe set up for any one that wants to buy their lunch there.

Karen (I presume this is ur name), thanks for visiting! Ya.. a small cafe would be really nice for those who wants to have a sip while reading, right? ;)

  3. Yeah it is was really nice. I used to work by the library several months ago and I would walk to it on my lunch break every Wednesday. It was very relaxing and nice to get out of the office.

Onto your question.. sadly I don’t have the answer for you, but you can always try out at JPAN or get in contact with the administrative department over at the library HQ in Luyang.
