It was last Thursday afternoon when Mer got into this accident that he has his brow area cut by the edge of a table! According to the babysitter, he didn’t cry much but once I arrived and found him hiding in the kitchen area probably thinking that he has done something wrong, he cried out loud!
After soothing him down, he let me look at his brow which has an inch cut and definitely needed to check if stitching is necessary. Though he said it was painful but he has been so brave in letting the doctor jab him and started stitching right after. Of course he cried after the 2nd jab, but he was totally alright and coordinating with the doctor. We were fortunately to get a doctor that know a bit of Mandarin to tell him to be still and assure him that it won’t hurt.
After that, it was hiding time for him ‘cos he doesn’t want others to say that he has been bad. He was even thinking not to go to school ‘cos afraid that the teacher will look at him differently. Anyhow, thanks to those understanding teachers, he went to school without crying, and he is healing quickly. Today is to go back to the clinic to get his stitches taken out.
When I told friends and family about this when they saw him, all of them goes “Fortunately it didn’t get the eye!”
Yup, am glad for that.
