Due to attending a sick child, I too, got tired and almost fall sick. I couldn’t get online for the past two days ‘cos Calvin fall sick with a throat infection (sort of a really bad sore throat) and due to that, he got fever. I’ve tried to jot down things that happened during the day and here are two accounts of what I’ve written:
Written on 24 Nov at around mid-night: This is probably my worst nightmare. It got me worried from the moment in knowing it since the mid-night of Monday till now (12:26 am when I wrote this). I have received calls from him telling me that he needed me and that he is still not feeling well, he sounded so worried and insecure. I didn’t manage to get him to take anything, not even half a bowl of porridge.
I’ve brought him to the Chinese medical doctor, tried to persuade him in drinking those herbs or Chinese medicine, forgetting that he is having tonsil problem. He doesn’t answer when ask how he was, he just stared at us, hardly speak a word. It got us so worried, me and mom are the two ants on the hot wok.
Even though earlier on my parents has sent him to the Chinese doctor where we have met there. His condition and confident doesn’t seems to gain back from there. He still refused to eat anything. He was so weak till I am sure that the wind can blow him away.
Then later last night, I brought him to the doctor in Likas Hospital hoping and praying that a good doctor will attend him whom can diagnose him properly. My prayer has been answered as I’ve requested so far. Now I’m praying that he is healing fast. I’m praying that he’ll love his food and eat less fried food.
I didn’t know that even egg tart is consider hot in the Chinese medical world until yesterday evening. I didn’t know the emergency doctors are so calm and professional over in Likas Hospital, he even look young and handsome underneath the surgical mask. What I do know is having a sick child is totally exhausting and probably have grown more grey hair than any other time.
Calvin, get well soon. Mommy wants to see your curious self again.
