P1060610eYup, today there are a few kindergarten having their graduation day, including Calvin’s school, which started as early at 8 o’clock this morning. I was  in a dilemma at first ‘cos not sure if I should be taking a leave and attend it fully or just be there enough to see him going on stage to collect his cert and leave. I’ve actually got changed to my office wear and got Mervin into his school uniform. But this little guy kept on saying “Please mommy.. please….” That he wanted to see his big brother’s graduation ceremony. At the end of that morning, I decided we should all just skip our normal daily routine and be there for Calvin.

When arriving at school, Calvin was so happy to see his grandpa (so far his most favorable person on earth) waiting at the school entrance. Grandpa get to stay till the end of the ceremony and brought Calvin home to his place which Calvin has been wanted to go. Why I said Grandpa got to stay till the end, oh well.. right after seeing Calvin on stage and looking at the time which it was just 9:30 am, I decided not to take my leave instead. Fortunately my immediate boss is okay with it.

Okay, let’s get back to the story here. Calvin didn’t have any extra “assignment” to do today other than going up stage and singing the group song. So he is among those kids that doesn’t have any make-up on. For those that have special “assignment” or awards, they all got make-up on. I was a bit disappointed by this. Whereas little Mervin got to join in the performance (modeling) during his school annual concert, Calvin doesn’t need to do anything. I wish I could see him on stage. I’m not even planning to buy the DVD that the school got for the graduation.

Anyway, I’m telling myself this is just kindergarten (but I’m still feeling sad now). I should be proud of him being able to get through his kindergarten. His result is not out yet, but I’m already thinking to enroll him to holiday class just so he is ready for his primary one next year. The holiday class will run till mid of December, then we can start decorating the house for Christmas!

Yes, probably Christmas is the only thing now that can lighten up my mood. I saw this nice origami Christmas tree over in ScrapScene. It is as good as those artificial christmas tree.

Note: this photo got it from Amy Wilhelms.

Maybe I’ll make one for the office desk.

Still glad to be here.

Time flies… he is no more a little kid… just that he is no more a baby… still a little kid that will face a lot of challenges ahead… especially going to primary school that he will be loaded with books in his bag and examinations that he will get a transcript.

Kids of these days really lost the freedom for being a kid! We should let them enjoy their childhood while guiding properly with 101% of love. We shall let them grown up with full of joy and happiness. A memory that they can tell and share.
