Tell you what, old book’s pages smell the best when you were being seated next to someone all through the 2 hr. 55 min. of journey who got bad breath and you were caught in the middle with another one who slept through except waking up for his sandwiches and who doesn’t even say thank you after you’ve reserved the health declaration and immigration form for him tucked away in the seat pocket in front. Fortunately the bad breath guy got some self conscious and start taking some mint sweet at almost the end of the journey which I wish he could have done that earlier.
Yes, I have finally touched down at 12:15pm in Bao An International Airport after going through a bit of turbulence at the last few minutes and having to listen to someone answering the phone inside the cabin when the air-hostess had just announced not to switch on our handphone till we are in the terminal building. Next thing was finding out that my registered Digi doesn’t do roaming for me automatically after I’ve ordered my pumpkin with pork ribs lunch in Cafe de Coral. Having lunch while worrying if hubby will be worried over my safety made the meal not so testy as usual. What make it worst was to find out all three public phones were not on the phone booth where it used to be and I had to walk all the way to Terminal B which is more than 100metres away.
While searching for the public phone and asking for direction, I bumped into a big crowd of people who seem excited in waiting for someone, whom that someone is “Ling Yu Zhong” (not sure if I’ve spelled his name right). I got a glimpse of him, fair skin tuck under the shades. Oh well, no time to take a shot, I was still looking for the public phone.
Finally made the call which cost me RMB1 in the business centre and got myself into a taxi that kept guessing which nationality I am, from Japanese till Philippines. Oh well, at least he only started talking and guessing when I almost reaching my destination, so I enlightened him with my answer which he happily announced that he also got a friend in Malaysia.
Now, here I am getting online trying to read my google reader without all those nice pictures that shown over blogspot, YouTube and not being able to update my status in FaceBook, what else can I do when I don’t even have my camera cable with me to upload photos over my site than typing away. Well, at least I’ve got my novel -Night Whispers by Judith McNaught with me which I had finished a few chapters on board.
Thank God gmail and YM still work over here, else I’ll completely out of touch from my usual world. Fortunately I still have this site that I can keep my log and train those finger muscles, almost the same as using Kettlebell.
Now, let me just catch some sleep before hubby came back from work and we’ll start with our adventure.
