Read this over in Ali’s blog, a quote from Mary Jean Iron which I think I should keep it somewhere to remind me to pay gratitude on just any normal day that I’m having now.

“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.”

Normally I would be rushing thing off, either in the morning or at night, getting them ready to leave the house or getting into their dreamland. Even getting frustrated over simple request of a hug. I should be a calmer person, a wiser person just like what is being sung in Desiree’s “You gotta be” song. I love that song, I love how its music and relics. I think I should be listening more to good songs rather than just any random songs being played over the radio.

I know there is no point wishing things that I don’t have but rather to enjoy whatever that I’m having, slow down, look at things from a different perspectives, as specially from the eyes of my boys.

Now, let me just keep on reminding myself to treasure my normal everyday life.
