It is one mix feelings day for me today. Firstly, it is Mervin’s 4th birthday. 2ndly, hubby is coming home this afternoon and he has got chicken pox! 3rdly, I received a sad news from colleague that the mother of my ex-colleague past away this morning. At the same time with all these going on, I received a wedding invitation. These all are actually a mixture of celebration and sadness.

I’ve got the boys helping out in packing the goodies bags last night. Initially I was worried that we won’t be able to finish packing them before they ate up everything or wanted to play with the stickers! Fortunately when we really come down to doing it, they were both excited and helpful. So we managed to pack 35 bags of goodies in an hour time. Mervin actually have 33 classmates in the school, the extra two were for him and Calvin.

After getting the cake over, I let the teacher to hold my camera and took some photos during the little party. I wanted so much to go over and join in the fun, but was worried that Mervin might behave differently with mommy around, so I didn’t go. All I wanted to know is if he is happy with the party. It turns out that he was happy though he said he didn’t smile much in the photos.

As for hubby, he is not on his way home. I’m praying that he won’t get quarantine. I’m thankful that although he is having Chicken Pox, at least he is having it during this time at home instead of being all alone over in China.  He is even having fun sending me short messages from the air-port at noon time saying “Just look at mirror, more red dots surface on my face now. Hehe..” *LOL* Well, he might just need to stay for another few more days *grin*.

Probably this will serve as his fat burning trip, ‘cos if he got fever, I don’t think he has got the appetite to eat and probably will need to rest more to regain his energy. Which to me is another bonus effect *LOL*.

On another account, me and colleagues are planning to pay a visit to our colleague tomorrow. I hope she is holding on strong. I actually hate to face this kind of situation where I don’t know what I suppose to do or what I suppose to say. Just pray that her mom rest in peace.

As for the wedding invitation, I don’t know if I’ll attend. It falls on a Sunday and normally Sunday is our family gathering time.
