We had a great time on Saturday. Been to a birthday party of a charming 4-year-old who speaks in “rojak” using English and Hakka. The boys had a great time making new friends and catching up with those previously met. I myself had enjoy good food and fun time with my classmate.
Yes, I knew Lucy since my Form six and we had been great friends ever since. Oh, this wasn’t her boys’ birthday, it was her sister’s son. Calvin and Mervin had met Lucy’s daughters before and they have been missing each other since, probably due to the small circle of friends that they have. My boys as well, ‘cos I seldom bring them out to meet friends except their cousins. I hope their social skills are still okay.
Ever since I’m in this house-renovating-mind, I’ve started to notices details of houses down to what kind of socket they use! The first thing I notice when stepping into their detached house was how big and how nice the stairs case look. That was when I haven’t even went upstairs to check out their floor yet! The next thing I noticed was that their kitchen counter is way too low for me, then I got a confirmation on thoughts from Lucy’s sister as we are about the same height. It actually caused back pain!
Next was their furniture. There were two sets of living room furniture as they have two separate living rooms, one with plasma TV (definitely going to get one!) plus a massage chair. Calvin loves the massage chair and have even thick face enough to request to have a go on it.
The highlight of the night surely was the present opening time. Buoy the birthday-boy was so excited on what he was getting and I got a big bear hug from him after he saw what we’ve got for him -a remote control racer. The thing is after this celebration, Mervin was asking when can he have a birthday party. Now.. where can I have that since I don’t have a house ready yet.
