Today is the last day for the celebration of the Chinese New Year, it is also the Valentine’s Day for the Chinese.
We had our celebration a night earlier last night in my mom’s place joined by two of my uncles and family, plus my sister’s in-laws. Well, the happiest among all were the children, they got to play with firecrackers, some light fire works and above all, they get to have some soft drinks!
Cousins where there playing “jim la mi”. I didn’t join ‘cos I’m not sure how to play with it and well, couldn’t be bother too *grin*. My brother had converted one of the table to be their mahjong table covered with brown paper. The other table that they normally use for mahjong has become part of my scrap room tools, so he can’t touch it anymore *grin*.

Not sure who won the game last night. For the one who has won, the Chinese would say they are fortunate or “wong” in Hakka. There are even ways that people do to make that person fortunate to win in a game, such as wearing red underwear *LOL*. To my in-laws in order to have good fortune for the year, they’ll have their chandeliers on for the first few nights during Chinese New Year.
To me, just pray more and just be good and have a good karma *grin*.
Happy Chap Goh Mei!!

I heard about the red underwear. Do they work? And I believe in the good karma too – what goes around comes around
Well, I haven’t tried on the red underwear thing, will let you know if it works once I did try *LOL*. Ya.. what goes around comes around, so true!
