Moving

No, I’m not moving, but some of my colleagues are. They are being transferred to other department and they might need some moving services for their personal belonging and maybe some files and office equipment. No, they can’t bring their table and chairs with them because that are being provided for.

It is sad to think about it. After all those years that they were with the present environment and job, they are experts in doing what they know best. It surely affected others sharing the same department with them, especially on the lost of experience people.

They themselves have to learn how to get used to their new environment, out from their comfort zone. Effective next year in January, we’ll be loosing one of the officer who are doing all the staff monitoring job and year end appraisal. After she is gone, I’ll be next in line and I hope I won’t be doing what she is doing now because I hate to evaluate people. On monitoring part, well, I won’t know if the staff is not there unless I’ve something for them to do. That’s why I would rather stay as a staff rather than a supervisor for somebody.

There were several times that she came over and told me, “You know who and who are not around? They went out more than 2 hours ago!” I went “Uh.. really? I didn’t notice.”

Yup, that’s me. Just finger crossed nothing change on my part or job responsibilities.
