We had a blast last night in the Headquarters of the State Library with cool crown Uncle Button and Bookworm Auntie Suzie. The children are absolutely hilarious and really excited to meet these two special guests from West Malaysia and the US.
The program started off with Ms Bookworm telling stories and singing songs, playing tricks and magic! Then follow by Uncle Button, the clown. Oh boy, the children just love them!! Most of them sit in front, right off the stage on the floor. They were very interactive and attentive as well. There were this brave boy that got on stage helping Uncle Button in getting his stuff which fall on the floor and he ended up on stage co-hosting with Uncle Button. It was hilarious, he is one bright kid and who are not shy of talking out loud.
The children had free goodie bags after the show and hopefully that creates the love of reading in the library too. They got pencils, pencil sharpener, eraser, ruler and Tiger biscuit, but nothing about the library or anything that attracts them to the library! I was surprise to find that.
They are going to have another show again on this Saturday in City Library, Kota Kinabalu at 9:30 am. Be there if you want your kids to have some great time with Auntie Suzie the bookworm and Uncle Button the clown.
The result follow by this activity was that little Mer wants me to bring him to see more clowns!
